Official URLs

FATpick Website

The official URL for FATpick is:

https://www.fatpick.com

Please use this URL when linking your audience to the FATpick website, including the "https://" protocol and the "www." prefix.

Note that this guideline is meant to apply to the destination of the link, not the label or "link text". You are free to display the link in whatever format is appropriate for your channel's style or conventions. For example www.fatpick.com, fatpick.com, and FATpick are all acceptable ways to link to the FATpick web site. Our concern is for the actual URL - the value of the "href" attribute - used for the link.

Download Link

The official location from which to download the FATpick application for all platforms is:

https://www.fatpick.com/support/downloads

or if you prefer you can use the following "anchor" to jump directly to the download buttons on that page:

Please use these URLs - or the main website URL of https://www.fatpick.com - when providing a link for your audience to obtain a copy of the FATpick application.

As before, our concern here is for the destination of the link - the value of the "href" attribute. Feel free to use whatever link text is appropriate for your context or channel.

Logo Padding Guidelines

To correctly display our logo it is important to provide adequate "clear space" or padding around the image. We recommend:

  1. An equal amount of padding should be applied to all four sides (top, bottom, left, right) of our logo image
  2. The width of this padding should be one half the width of the "guitar pick" element in the logo - at minimum. Note that this is approximately 10% of the full width of the logo image.

The gray outline surrounding each of the images above demonstrates the minimum amount of clear space to correctly display our logo.

Screenshots

Below you can find screenshots of the FATpick application in use, including game-play, search, in-app tools and other features.

Most of these screenshots are based on a 1.6 aspect ratio (2880x1800px) but a handful are also available in a wide-screen format (2560x1440px).

Note that FATpick's user interface is cross-platform. The application looks virtually the same on Windows, MacOSX and Linux - only the operating-system-managed "window decoration" and the occassional native form control changes from one system to another. However the media kit does contain sreenshots captured from both Macintosh and Windows PC computers.

Each screenshot is available in both a light and dark theme - two of several "skins" that players can choose within the app.

Information & Sample Copy

Below you will find answers to several frequently asked questions and other info that may be of interest when covering FATpick. This copy is meant to be informational and a useful starting point. Feel free to use it as-is, or to modify it to meet your needs assuming that doesn't corrupt the original meaning or intent.

Tagline

FATpick - the tab player that listens.
https://www.fatpick.com/

Description

FATpick is a smart tablature viewer for guitar, bass, ukulele and other plucked-string instruments that "gamifies" the experience of learning new songs. FATpick renders any GuitarPro file - or hundreds of songs already shared by others - in an auto-scrolling tab player that indicates exactly when and where to play each note. Backing audio tracks are automatically synchronized with each song, and can be customized with DAW-like audio and voice controls. FATpick listens to your performance as you play along with any guitar to provide instant feedback on your pitch and timing accuracy.

Where to Find

You can download FATpick for Windows, Mac OSX or Linux at:

https://www.fatpick.com/support/downloads

FATpick is currently free - for a limited time - for field-testing. Users that sign up now lock in early-adopter status and eligibility for substantial discounts and unique offers when FATpick transitions to a subscription model.

Features

  • More than 1400 playable tabs across 300+ songs - more than 92 continuous hours of music. New songs are added every day.
  • Add custom songs by importing any GuitarPro file.
  • Works with any plucked-string instrument - guitar, bass, ukulele, even banjo and mandolin - and any audio input device, including your built-in microphone or any guitar-to-USB, guitar-to-AUX or DI-box-based audio input device.
  • Instant performance feedback based on sophisticated pitch, onset and offset detection algorithms.
  • Backing audio tracks with DAW-style controls for more than 100 sample-based digital instruments.
  • Customizable practice experience with adjustable tempo, repeat looping, feedback modes, and more than a dozen gameplay settings.
  • Interactive tools and reference material for guitarists including a fully-featured metronome, chromatic tuner, database of 2200+ chord positions, fretboard charts, and more.
  • Gamified practice experience with personal records, global leaderboards, historical statistics and a badge framework.

Competitive Analysis

This feature comparison matrix compares FATpick to similar products and services, including Yousician and Ubisoft's Rocksmith 2014 Remastered.

Platforms

FATpick is availbable for Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux from:

https://www.fatpick.com/support/downloads

iOS and Android mobile apps are planned but not yet available to the general public.

Releases

Pricing

The intent is to eventually charge for FATpick - probably in the form of a subscription model. But in order to test the app in diverse environments FATpick is currently free. There are no ads. no time limits, and no in-app-purchases during this "field testing" period.

With the release of FATpick 2.0 in early 2021 we expect that the transition to a subscription model will occur relatively soon. When that happens, "early adopters" - those that used the app before the launch of the subscription model - will be eligible for unique offers and substantial discounts once the premium model takes effect.

Download the Entire Media Kit
(.zip archive ~8mb)

Note that all images contained in the archive (or linked from this page) have been minimized using a lossless image optimizer. The size of each file (in bytes) should be about as small as possible without reducing the quality or dimensions of the image.

You are welcome to resize or edit the images for publication as long as (1) you respect the original aspect ratio, (2) you don't misrepresent the application, company or user experience, and (3) your use of the the assets remains true to their original intent. Negative reviews are OK - if they are honest. Misrepresentation, misattribution, misleading, and other shady business is not.

Note that the FATpick blog and general website contain additional screenshots, demos and more, but these tend to be of lower quality than the screenshots and other assets found in the media kit.

If you have any questions you can reach the FATpick team using this web form. If you include an email address or phone number in your message you can expect a prompt response.
